The history of the railway stations in Będzin is associated with the construction of a side branch Warsaw-Vienna Railway in 1858, which linked Ząbkowice, then located in the Russian annexed territory, and part of Silesia lying under Prussian rule. The present building of the railway station of BędzinMiasto was built much later, in the years 1927-1931, when the station replaced the old building, dating back to the second half of the nineteenth century.
